Men's | Speed Lab


Coached by University of Washington men's coaches, athletes will learn methods that are foundational to the success of elite college programs. It is also a great chance to learn more about collegiate rowing opportunities and add to take advantage of the summer training period.


Previously known as the Washington U23 Pair Development Camp. This camp is to develop small boat skills for future US National Team Events.


June 11 - July 15


Monday - Saturday 6:00 am - 8:00 am with a lift from 8:00 am - 9:00 am.

Practices may be added if you are in contention for the USA U23 4+. 


Will send a U23 4+ to trials with the goal of winning a medal in Poznan, Poland. We will also provide racing experience to those who can fund their own trip to Club Nationals.

Individualized coaching to strengthen biomechanics and blade work


Introduction to RP3 technology: how to use this machine to strengthen your on the water rowing skills


Coxswain development: strengthen your ability to make judgement calls in high pressure situations and develop boat feel


Learn the mental preparation needed to enhance performance in highly competitive situations


Unlock your inner race dawg: participate in boathouse wide workouts and power sessions



What to bring to camp:

  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses/hat
  • Running shoes
  • Backpack
  • Athletic tape for potential blisters

The Medical History/Permission to Treat a Minor Form must be submitted by NEED TO FILL IN DATE


If you are planning on bringing any necessary medications with you to camp, please fill out and upload the Medication Form by FILL IN DATE and ALSO bring a hard copy along with your medication in a ziploc bag.



Getting to Conibear Shellhouse



You can take the LINK light rail to the "University of Washington" Station. Once you get off the link, take the escalators up to ground level and walk north on Montlake Blvd NE until you reach the first footbridge. Turn right just after the footbridge and follow the road down the hill, past the tennis courts on your left until you run right into Conibear Shellhouse.
